The Guildford trio are now in talks with major management and with a new album underway, have choosen to follow Thetford Forest with a night at the Halfmoon in Putney, a venue that showcases the finest of the UK underground.

The band's gig at the world famous Halfmoon will take place on August 16th, and is set to be the best homecoming party Newrising could want. Leading the support is the spell binding Jasmine Rodgers; one of Carter's favourite singers and daughter of English rock legend Paul Rodgers. Also supporting will be David Goo, the infamous, mind-bendingly talented musician and comedian who brought Sheeran and Newrising together. Finally, Guildford's own Billy Irvine will be tearing up and rocking out with his low slung grooves and resonator guitars.

It's amazing to think how one night back in 2008 both Sheeran and Newrising were crossing paths as struggling musicians. Now the Brit award winning quadruple platinum selling Ed Sheeran has returned to the the underground to offer Newrising a very generous but well deserved kick start to their career.
